THERAPY

Meadows Care Therapy service has expanded over the last year. Headed by our Clinical Psychologist, Dr Jane Toner, we have recruited a cognitive behavioural therapist, Simon Lynch, who specialises in working with individuals with complex behavioural and emotional needs.

We are also expanding our therapy options to include compassionate based therapy approaches. Added to this Meadows Care are currently developing psychology assistant posts to help expand the assessment, therapy and interventions we are able to offer in relation to the individual needs of our young people.

The Therapy services continue to take a strong role in all aspects of residential care, staff training and close working and continual liaison with our Education service.

The plan for Meadows Care over the next year is to incorporate more therapeutic based training packages for our staff teams thus further enhancing their skills, knowledge and confidence which in turn will enable them to help our young people to continue to grow and develop.
