Meadows Care are committed to developing our workforce to a standard that enables us to meet the complex and continually changing needs of the young people in our care.
As well as ensuring our staff receive the required mandatory training we offer a comprehensive package of training to all Meadows Care staff to ensure their continual development.
Training needs analyses are continually undertaken to identify skills and knowledge required by staff.
Our training programme remains flexible throughout the year to allow us to address the specific needs of any particular staff team as and when required. However, once a training session has been developed and delivered to the identified team, the training is disseminated throughout the company allowing all the staff to undertake the training.
We have several highly specialised professionals working for the company, including Dr Jane Toner (Clinical Psychologist) and Simon Lynch (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist). We also employ the services of Martin C Calder an external consultant who has published books about sexual abuse, self harming behaviours and assessment methodology. All of these experienced professionals facilitate training and as a result we are able to deliver knowledge timely and effectively, guaranteeing us a quality and bespoke programme of training for all of our staff.
At Meadows Care we fully recognise the need to invest in our staff and one of the ways we do this is to provide them with highly specialised, quality training and this is reflected in the progress of our young people and the scores we receive from Ofsted.
"As the young people at Meadows grow older they develop independence and a self-belief in their ability to cope with everyday life."
