Red Heart Month

The month of February is ‘Red Heart Month’ for the British Heart Foundation, raising awareness and raising money for lifesaving research.

If you’ve been to Egerton House, Meadows Care’s Head Office recently, you may have seen our new Defibrillator on the left-hand side of the building.

This is something that Meadows has invested in as a community resource for our local area. Our defibrillator is now part of a network that can be used by the emergency services to assist and guide people to use and hopefully to save lives ❤️

Specific first aid training or defibrillator training is not required to use one of these community resources. If you ever did need to use a defibrillator in the community, the emergency responders such as 999 or 111, will talk you through how to use it, step-by-step.

If anyone is interested in learning more though, or wants to see a demonstration, please watch this video.

One thing you can all get involved with straight away is completing this free online training course and learn CPR in 15 minutes! An amazing resource to take advantage of!
